History of Georgian American University
Even though there were already two international business schools operating at the time, the demand in Tbilisi for a truly western university was so great that the Georgian American University opened its Business School and Law School in 2005, despite the fact that there were already two such schools in operation in the city.
A joint limited liability corporation with American and Georgian investors was established in February 2005. This committed group and its Board of Directors created financial and operational management standards that complied with the stringent international, moral, and academic requirements.
